HTC One X is among the lucky few Android devices to receive the latest custom build of Jelly Bean firmware - Android 4.2.2 - via CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 ROM. The M3 version of the popular custom ROM belongs to the M-series, which releases once every month with new features (unlike the nightly build with beta updates).

As XDA Senior Member Mustavalkosta notes, the latest CM10.1 M3 ROM features its kernel based on Synergye's KangBang kernel that brings a few tweaks optimised for the ROM's performance. CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 ROM and the instructions given in this guide are applicable for the HTC One X model only. Verify the device's model number by navigating to Settings > About Phone. Download Android 4.2.2 CyanogenMod 10.1 M3 ROM and Google Apps on the computer. Connect the phone to computer with USB cable.
